Þórólfur Árnason, Reykjavík’s former mayor who resigned for his involvement in an oil price fixing scandal, has been appointed CEO of Icelandic Group, formerly known as Sölumiðstöð Hraðfrystihúsanna, SH. Before becoming mayor of Reykjavík, Þórólfur was CEO of TAL, now part of Og Vodafone. Prior to that he had been a marketing manager of oil company Olís.
