Reykjavík, World’s 29th Most Expensive City

Reykjavík shares 29th place with the Jordanian capital Amman on a list of the world’s most expensive cities, according to a bi-annual pricing index from the Economist Intelligence Unit. Singapore retains the top spot, followed by Zürich, Hong Kong, and Geneva. Next is Paris, then London, NYC, and Copenhagen, the most expensive Nordic capital. Seoul comes next, followed by Los Angeles.

Milan is number 28, one place above Amman and Reykjavík. München, the Bavarian capital, is number 30. Last on the brand new list, aimed at expats and business travelers, is the Zambian capital Lusaka, number 133.
