Reykjavík supports Gay Pride

By Iceland Review

Mayor of Reykjavík Vilhjálmur Th. Vilhjálmsson and the representatives of Gay Pride in Reykjavík signed an agreement in the city hall yesterday regarding the city’s support of the celebration.

“The [drag] queen of Videy” attended the signing of the agreement and to demonstrate his support of Gay Pride, the mayor kissed her hand. Morgunbladid reports.

The city agreed to increase its support of “Hinsegin dagar,” the Gay Pride celebration in Reykjavík, to ISK 12 million (USD 180,000, EUR 135,000) for the next three years.
