Reykjavík Safari, Free Guided Tour

Reykjavík City Library, Reykjavík Art Museum and the Reykjavík Museum of Photography will offer a free guided tour in English, Spanish and Polish entitled “Reykjavík Safari” on July 10 to introduce the capital’s culture and history.

The one-hour tour includes the main museums, libraries and theaters in the city center and a presentation of current exhibitions and events.

After the tour the three language groups meet up at the Reykjavík Art Museum for “an intercultural get-together with some music, a cup of coffee and a light snack,” as described in a press release. A member of youth cultural center Hitt húsid will perform on the occasion.

The meeting point is outside Reykjavík City Library on Tryggvagata 15 at 8 pm. Reservations are not necessary.

This summer, literary critic Úlfhildur Dagsdóttir and actor Darren Foreman offer free literary walks around Reykjavík from the same meeting point every Thursday at 5 pm.
