Reykjavík Residents from 130 Nations

Of Reykjavík’s 120,000 residents, a total of around 13,000 are foreigners representing 130 nations. Foreigners make up a total of 11.1 percent of the city’s total population, up from 5.5 percent a decade ago, reports.

Mayor of Reykjavík Jón Gnarr says the increase in foreigners in the city is a positive development. “This is a sign that it is good to live here,” he said.
