The purpose of the committee, led by reverent Bjarni Karlsson, is to find ways to help the city and other local welfare institutions to better support these people.
“This will not be done over night but the committee is supposed to hand in a progress report no later than October 1st. It will operate until the end of the year,” Björk Vilhelmsdóttir chairman of the Welfare Board said in an announcement.
