The 19th annual Reykjavík Jazz Festival began yesterday. Before it ends on Saturday, more than 100 musicians will perform around 30 concerts. The concert venues are at various locations in Reykjavík.
Tomorrow night Tómas R. Einarsson’s band, along with singer Ragnheidur Gröndal, will perform “love songs and hang-over music” by different songwriters at Fríkirkjan church in central Reykjavík, 24 Stundir reports.
“Hang-over music is full of sorrow. They feature the fate of the weak man,” Einarsson explained. The songs that Einarsson will perform with the aid of his band and Gröndal are all on his new album which will be released in October.
