Reykjavík French Film Festival Kicks off

The annual Reykjavík French Film Festival opens in Háskólabíó cinema today.


Nine films with will be screened at this year’s festival, including the opening film comedy Eyjafjallajökull. The film tells the story of a divorced couple on their way to their daughter’s wedding in Greece. Because of the delays caused by the volcanic eruption of Eyjafjallajökull, the couple, full of hatred for each other, must travel together if they are to make it on time.

Other films are: Turning Tide; Venus in Fur; One Night; Me, Myself and Mum; Nobody Else But You; The Painting; Approved for Adoption and The Women on the 6th Floor.

The festival runs until January 30.
