The men have been in custody since April 16 when they arrived at the airport . The drugs were hidden among other places in shampoo bottles in their luggage, ruv.is reports.

One of the men was stopped at customs by sniffer dog Nelson. The police suspected that he hadn’t been traveling alone and managed to track down the other two men, who were on their way to Reykjavík by taxi.

According to visir.is, the men did not know each other and the trip was organized from outside of Iceland. The men reportedly acted as mules.
