Three of the people were arrested on suspicion of purchasing sex and five of the club’s staff, including the owner, on suspicion of procurement of prostitution.
According to ruv.is, undercover police officers had witnessed the purchase of sex, which is illegal in Iceland, at the venue and had monitored the activities of the club for several months. Last week, detention over four of the men was extended while two of the men were released.
Stöð 2 reported yesterday that the owner’s lawyer had to resign after it was revealed that his name was found in the documents related to the police documents on the clubs operations.
