Ragnar will present a new visual performance for the stage, featuring music by Kjartan Sveinsson of Sigur Rós. The piece is being developed in collaboration with the Reykjavík City Theatre and the esteemed Berlin Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, and will have its premiere in Berlin this coming February.

Special guests Wakka Wakka Productions will perform their award-winning puppet show for adults at the National Theatre of Iceland. The show, described on the festival’s website as a fiery tragicomedy, tells the story of Gunnar Oddmundsson who is ruined by the economic crash of 2008 and harbors dreams of justice. The show will be performed by an international team of puppeteers from the United States, Norway, Iceland and Ireland.

The festival will be held May 22 to June 5, 2014. For more information, visit listahatid.is.

In other arts news, Seyðisfjörður-based multimedia artist Konrad Korabiewski will perform at the LAK festival for Nordic Sound Art in Copenhagen, held from September 26-29 this year. Korabiewski was recently awarded the Berliner Künstlerprogramm des DAAD residency & working grant for 2014.
