Red Hot Chili Peppers to Iceland in July

The US rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers will be giving a concert in Iceland for the first time on July 31 next year. This was announced Friday in a press release from Sena Live. The Icelandic band to warm up for the concert will be selected and announced later.

The concert will take place at Nýja Laugardalshöllin in Reykjavík. Ten thousand tickets will be for sale, priced at ISK 13,990 (USD 126, EUR 118) and ISK 19,990 (USD 180, EUR 168).

Four years ago, Red Hot Chili Peppers was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band released its 11th studio album, The Getaway, in June of this year, which shot to number one spot in ten different countries and ranked second on the Billboard Top 200.

The band is among the most successful in history and has sold over 60 million records. It consists of Anthony Kiedis (vocals), Flea (bass), Chad Smith (drums), and Josh Klinghoffer (guitar). They are six-time Grammy winners.
