Record in water gun fighting broken

Almost 2,000 people fought with water guns this weekend at the Youth Association of Iceland’s (UMFÍ) national sports tournament in Kópavogur, near Reykjavík, which, apparently, is a new world record.

The fight began when military trumpets were blown and people of all ages started spraying each other with water and were so caught up in the game that it was difficult to make them stop, Morgunbladid reports.

No one was harmed, though everyone was wet after the fight.
