Record Participation in Midnight Run

The unique tradition of the Midsummer Night Run at the recreational park Laugardalur saw record participation this year, mbl.is reports. The run begins at midnight.

Last night, 1,400 people showed up to run either 3,5 or 10 kilometers. In the 10 K run, the male winner was Björn Margeirsson, at 32,19 minutes. The female winner was Frída Rún Thórdardóttir, at 37,56 minutes.
