“This is a big day, the largest this summer in regard to number of tourists,” Anna Gunnarsdóttir, project manager at Atlantik travel agency, told Morgunblaðið. The agency is handling the reception of three large cruise ships at Reykjavík harbor today.

Around 90-100 buses and other smaller vehicles will be used to transport the passengers on group excursions. The Golden Circle tour, which comprises Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir geothermal area, is the most popular tour among guests. The Blue Lagoon is also popular.
