A variety of fish such as haddock, cod, salmon, redfish, salt cod and cat fish will be prepared in various marinades and grilled in 14 different areas. There will also be bread and beverages, and everyone is encouraged to eat as much as their stomach will allow.

In addition to the buffet, there will be a full program including a fish exhibition, a cruise around the fjord, music, and art.

In the evening, to cap off the Fish Day, town residents will open their homes for Fish Night and serve fish soup to all the attending guests.
