A total of seven works will be translated into Dutch and eight into German. The center notes that the most substantial rise in translations has been in French and English.
According to the center, the promotion of Icelandic literature abroad by the public sector and the Icelandic publishing industry has delivered a substantial increase in translations of Icelandic works.
As reported yesterday, the Icelandic Literature Center will present 20 Icelandic titles from 2012 at the upcoming Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany, held October 9-13.
