The Reykjavík Arts Festival will take place between May 18 and June 3 in Iceland’s capital where a broad range of cultural events will be on offer. Among those are readings by Icelandic authors in their homes.

This is the fourth time that authors organize such readings but now for the first time, three readings will take place in German, hosted by Einar Kárason, Yrsa Sigurðardóttir and Kristín Marja Baldursdóttir, as stated in a newsletter by Fabulous Iceland.
Fabulous Iceland (Sagenhaftes Island) was the project launched to promote Iceland as the guest of honor at the 2011 Frankfurt Book Fair and the German book readings are organized to follow up on the success at the fair in cooperation with Fabulous Iceland.
