The story was only printed in 300 copies in 1933 in New York, and this copy is numbered 175, visir.is reports.

Other rare books that will be auctioned off on Saturday include Lesrím, a book of rhymes which was printed at Beitistadir, Iceland, in 1817, the first edition of the printed version of the Icelandic saga Njála, published in Copenhagen in 1772, and Saga Ara Fróda, the story of Iceland’s most prominent medieval chronicler, printed at Skálholt, Iceland, in 1688, which is considered a particular rarity.

Furthermore, art books, a broad selection of belle-lettres, poetry books and books on Icelandic and Nordic studies will be available at the online auction.

This is the fourth auction organized jointly by Gallery Fold and Bókin. It will run through December 3.
