Five young adults were in a car on Votmúlavegur, road 34, connecting Selfoss to Eyrarbakki and Stokkseyri, South Iceland, early Sunday morning when a rabbit jumped over the road. The young driver lost control of his car and rolled over.
No one was seriously hurt, mbl.is reports.
Due to the extensive spread of rabbits in Iceland, the species is now being considered as part of the country’s wild fauna. The stock numbers hundreds or even thousands of animals.
