QuizUp, the wildly popular app by Icelandic company Plain Vanilla, has been nominated for this year’s Crunchies Awards in the category Fastest Rising Startup, visir.is reports.
The winners of the award, which is run by websites Tech Crunch, GigaOm and VentureBeat, will be announced on February 10 February. Other companies nominated are Lulu, Tinder, Upworthy and Whisper. Previous winners include Snapchat in 2013 and Pinterest in 2012. Iceland Review spoke to Plain Vanilla’s founder Þorsteinn Baldur Friðriksson for the current issue of the magazine.
