Progressives changing mind on heavy industry?

According to the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service, RÚV, two ministers of the Progressive Party, Jónína Bjartmarz, Minister of Environment, and Gudni Ágústsson, Minister of Agriculture, claim they wish to preserve the wetlands in the upper stretches of the river Thjórsá, Thjórsárver, and cancel plans for further development of hydroelectric power plants in the area. Both claim they wish to enlarge the current nature preserve in Thjórsárver and re-examine their party’s platform on developing heavy industry in Iceland.
