Private Party Stopped by Police

By Iceland Review

The police stopped a private party at 5:40 am today at the club Players in Kópavogur, a suburb of Reykjavík. Close to fifty people were at the club still celebrating the New Year. The party organizers had not asked for an extended permit; the club only has a permit to be open until 3:00 am.

According to the police, they were able to clear the club without incident. Everyone simply went home, the party was over.

Players is one of the biggest sports clubs in Iceland, showing live sports on big screens. It is located next door to Smáralind mall.
