A thirty-three year old man serving time at Litla-Hraun prison in south Iceland committed suicide this weekend. His family blame prison authorities for not keeping him under closer observation, as he was prone to severe depression.
Two prisoners have committed suicide in Icelandic prisons in the last four months, the former being a young woman.
