Prime Minister Delays Bill

Prime Minister of Iceland Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson asked Minister of Finance Bjarni Benediktsson yesterday to delay the putting forward of a new bill concerning the government’s household debt relief plan for the correction of indexed loans from 2008 and 2009 until after April Fool’s Day, according to eyjan.is.

Some parliamentarians have expressed their surprise by the request.
