Premiere of King’s Road Coming Up

The new feature film by Icelandic film editor and director Valdís Óskarsdóttir, King’s Road (original title: Kóngavegur), will premiere on March 26 in the cinemas Smárabíó in Kópavogur, Háskólabíó in Reykjavík and in Borgarbíó in Akureyri.

The story takes place in a rundown trailer park in Iceland. After thee years abroad Junior, the main character, returns to Iceland with his set of problems hoping that his father can sort them out. But his homecoming isn’t quite what he had expected.

The main actors are Gísli Örn Gardarsson, who plays Junior, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Daniel Brühl, Hanna María Karlsdóttir, Ingvar E. Sigurdsson, Kristbjörg Kjeld, Margrét Vilhjálmsdóttir, Nanna Kristín Magnúsdóttir, Nína Dögg Filippusdóttir, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Ólafur Egilsson, Rúnar Freyr Gíslason, Sigurdur Sigurjónsson and Thröstur Leó Gunnarsson.
