Police Warn against Buying World Cup Tickets Online

Police have warned people to be cautious if buying tickets to the sold-out Iceland vs. Croatia World Cup playoff online, visir.is reports. A considerable amount of tickets to the game, which takes place this Friday, are for sale on the black market.

Police received a complaint of fraud over the weekend from one football fan who had paid ISK 17,000 (USD 138, EUR 102) for five tickets. The man hasn’t heard from the seller since. The case is being investigated by police.
