Police Uproot Cannabis Cultivation in Reykjavík

Police uprooted cannabis cultivation in a house in the Reykjavík neighborhood of Laugardalur on Monday. While searching the premises, police discovered ten cannabis plants in the final stages of cultivation.

The plants and a few greenhouse lamps were confiscated, Morgunbladid reports.

Police say that their action was part of the fight against sale and distribution of drugs, reminding people of the drug hotline, (+354) 800-5005, where they can make anonymous phone calls to inform police on drug cases.

The drug hotline is a cooperative project between police and customs authorities.
