Police Seeking Information on Dead Tourist

death-announcementsYesterday a man was found dead in Dritvík on Snaefellsnes peninsula. The man’s identity is unknown at the moment, but police think he may be a French tourist. The man was found in a rescue shelter in Dritvík, an inlet on the southern side of Snaefellsnes, close to Snaefellsjökull glacier.
Police do not suspect foul play, but think that the man was probably a tourist who sought shelter in the hut. Dritvík is quite a walk from the main road, but is a scenic place by the sea. Police ask anyone who may know the identity of the man to contact them: The phone number to call is: +(354) 444-1000. If you are in Iceland it is enough to call the last seven digits.
