Police searches for jewelry thieves

The capital region police are currently searching for a man and a woman of Eastern European origin, suspected of having stolen jewelry from a store in Reykjavík and attempted to rob another jewelry store in the capital.

The woman, who is probably in her thirties, and the man, who looked older than the woman, both have a dark complexion and are believed to drive a grey BMW with foreign license plates. A girl believed to be four or five-years-old was seen accompanying the couple, visir.is reports.

According to Fréttabladid, the man was dressed in expensive clothing and waved bank notes to hold the store clerks’ attention while the woman or child allegedly stole the jewelry.
