The Reykjavík Metropolitan Police is searching for a man around 40 who is suspected of having set fire to Bryndísarsjoppa in Hafnarfjörður yesterday morning, a small shop that has been closed for a few years after decades of operation.

The suspect was seen running away from the scene at the same time as the fire started. He is described as being of average height, chubby, bald and with a full beard, Morgunblaðið reports.
Significant damages were also carried out on vehicles that were parked by the outdoor recreation area Heiðmörk yesterday evening. Most of the windows had been smashed and a laptop had been stolen from one of the cars.
