They ask that two of the suspects, who were recently caught in their home country of Poland, be questioned and that the Polish police track down the third suspect, visir.is reports.
This was stated at the Supreme Court of Iceland while confirming the custody over a fourth man who is believed to have been an accomplice to the three “Rolex Raiders”. He was arrested in Iceland shortly after the robbery and the loot was found hidden in his car.
The man maintains his innocence, claiming that he had met a Polish man last summer who paid him for smuggling something out of Iceland.
The defendant stated that the same individual hid the watches in the car while he didn’t know what he was supposed to smuggle out of the country.
According to the verdict, the man’s testimony is considered to be surreal. He is to remain in custody until December 8.
