Police Pick up Harbor Jumping Man

The police in Reykjavík got an emergency call at 2 am last night when someone saw a man jump into the cold ocean at the old fishing harbor in the downtown area, mbl.is reports.

When the police arrived, the man was on the pier. He told police that he had wanted to jump into the ocean for a long time. He was fine after the swim but the police gave him a ride home.

The temperature in Reykjavík last night was just under 0°C (32°F).
