Police Issue Warning Over False Euros

The Reykjavík Metropolitan Police wish to remind salespeople to be on their guard for all paper money. This is due to a number of incidents as of late, in which false Euro bills have been used to purchase all manner of products.

In the image above, three recently used false 50 Euro bills (pictured left) are compared to a regular 50 Euro bill (pictured right). The Police believe the false bills belong to a board game or something in that category.

“In our daily lives, mistakes can happen which is why we’d like to remind salespeople to be on their toes while working.”
