Police Ask for Help in Missing Person’s Case

The Reykjavík Metropolitan Police have issued a renewed appeal for help in finding a missing 38-year-old man, in a post on Facebook. Rimantas Rimkus, who is described as 187 cm (6 ft 2 in) tall, 74 kg (163 lbs) and with short, dark hair, has not been heard from since the end of last month. The case was first reported to the police on June 19.

The search for Rimantas has thus far proved unsuccessful, and the police have few clues to go on. Although the police have talked with numerous parties in relation to the case, they have not managed to throw a light on Rimantas’ movements or possible whereabouts. The police state there is no suspicion of a criminal act having occurred.

Those who can provide any information on the whereabouts of Rimantas are asked to call the police at 444-1000, or send a private message via the police Facebook page.
