Two men and one woman have been sentenced to custody until Friday due to suspicion of breaking-and-entering and attempted sale of loot. The threesome may be members of a larger crime circle responsible for a wave of break-ins in the capital region.

Police suspect that some of the loot has been sent out of the country—all three suspects are foreign citizens, Fréttabladid reports.
As reported earlier this month, the average number of cases of breaking-and-entering reported each month increased from 150 in the first half of 2008 to 250 in the same period of this year.
