Over 315,000 people have signed a petition set up by the organization on Wednesday, demanding that Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte bans the transfer of whale meat in Dutch ports.

The hunting of fin whales is set to recommence at the beginning of June after a two year break.

The Netherlands is home to the largest port in Europe, Rotterdam.
