Plane Crashes near Flúdir, South Iceland

Just after 16.00 a small airplane crashed near Flúdir. Four were aboard the Cessna plane, bulit in 1968, and all are injured, three men and one woman. The Coast Guard Helicopter carried three of those aboard to a Reykjavík hospital and the fourth one was put in an ambulance.

According to mbl.is the plane had been circling the summer huts at Flúdir, a popular resort for Icelanders, when it suddenly lost power and crashed to the ground. All were conscious when medics arrived at the scene. One is said to be seriously injured.
