A young Icelandic male, traveling from Barcelona to Iceland with Iceland Express last night, was arrested for indecent behavior onboard the airplane when it landed in Prestwick, Scotland, to refuel.
According to Iceland Express CEO Matthías Imsland, the young man seemed to have been intoxicated and not been feeling well. Then he began using language so strong that it was not possible to keep him onboard the airplane any longer, Morgunbladid reports.
Imsland said the man had even made bomb threats, which is when the airplane staff decided to have him arrested. “We take such threats very seriously,” the CEO said, adding that the safety of passengers is of the utmost importance.
