Papey Narcotics Case’s Motion for Dismissal Denied

This morning, the Reykjavik District Court rejected the motion for dismissal made by Dutchman Peter Rabe, in the so-called Papey drug smuggling case, reports.

Rabe is, along with five Icelandic men, charged with the smuggling of just over 100 kilos of amphetamine, cannabis and ecstasy to Iceland last April. At the court case’s filing, his attorney demanded dismissal of the case since it was outside Icelandic jurisdiction.

The court did not accept that argument. The case will be tried next week.
