Pamela Anderson Hugs Icelandic Snowboarder

Icelandic snowboarder Eiríkur Helgason, who usually goes by Eiki, received a hug from former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson at a recent award ceremony held by the magazine Transworld Snowboarding.

“I don’t think Pamela knows too much about snowboarding,” commented Eiki’s brother, Halldór Helgason, who is also an accomplished snowboarder.

Readers named Eiki snowboarder of the year and a picture of him adorns the magazine’s February cover. He describes the award as the best a snowboarder can receive, Fréttabladid reports.

Halldór recently claimed the gold at the X Games in Aspen, which helped raise his profile. “It has helped a lot,” he said. “It is the largest and most respected competition where one can win a medal and it has never been as big as this year.”

The brothers are currently recording material for the snowboarding film producers Standard Films and Pirate Productions; Halldór is located in Utah in the US and Eiki in Japan. “This is what we enjoy most,” Halldór said.
