Over Four Hundred Tons of Clementines Sold in Iceland

Over 400 tons of clementines were sold in the two months before Christmas last year, mbl.is reports. Clementines are a popular treat in Iceland during the festive season.

A total of 156,000 boxes of clementines were sold in stores in Iceland before Christmas last year. The seedless variety of mandarin is imported to Iceland from Spain where the harvesting season runs from November to April.

The first boxes of clementines arrived in stores on November 4, a week earlier than last year.
