Google has received 127 requests to delete a combined 282 urls from individuals with relationships to Iceland, as stated in its latest report on the removal of search results.
After the European Court of Justice ruled in May that links to “irrelevant” and outdated data should be erased by search engines on request, Google has received tens of thousands of requests to delete search results.
All in all, Google has received over 153,000 requests from residents in Europe. The company has so far accepted 41.5 percent of cases, most of which are connected to Facebook, Profileengine and YouTube.
