Icelandic band Of Monsters and Men’s song ‘Silhouettes’ for the forthcoming film Hunger Games: Catching Fire has just been released, mtv.com reports. The song will be included in the film’s soundtrack, along with music by Coldplay, Sia and Christina Aguilera, among others.
Band member Ragnar Þórhallsson said the song was influenced by the group’s experiences on tour. “We had been traveling for a long time and away from our family and doing something we had never done before, so that was kind of how we related to the story.”
The soundtrack will be released on November 19 and the movie on December 22.
This is the second major film with which OMAM’s music is associated: their song ‘Dirty Paws’ was used in the trailer for Ben Stiller’s The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
