This is a remarkable achievement, especially given the short time since the album was released in the U.S. Until now, Björk is the only Icelandic artist to have reached this major milestone.

This is the band’s sixth platinum record. It has already gone Platinum in Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Iceland.

In Iceland, 27,000 copies of the album have been sold, which makes for double platinum. Triple platinum is now on the horizon.
