Ólafur Elíasson’s Home Is For Sale

Danish-Icelandic artist Ólafur Elíasson has put his home in Hellerup on the outskirts of Copenhagen up for sale, RÚV reports. The asking price is set at DKK 22.5 million [$3,725,412].

The unique home is 271 square meters and has 13 rooms. The property is landscaped with 17 different species of specially chosen trees and features a front door that has been carved to look like an owl.

Ólafur represented Denmark at the Venice Biennal in 2003 and has gained worldwide recognition for having consistently “…harnessed the power of nature into artworks both unparalleled in scale and heart-rending in their message.” He was named one of art education site Artsy‘s ‘Most Infleuntial Living Artists of 2016.’

Photographs of Ólafur’s home can be seen on the Boliga real estate firm’s website here.
