The association Iceland-Palestine is organizing protests in Reykjavík today to demonstrate disapproval of the visit of an Israeli ambassador to the Foreign Ministry.
In a press release issued this morning, Iceland-Palestine condemns “the mass murders the Israeli army has undertaken in Beit Hanoun and elsewhere in the Gaza area.”
The organization further states that the killings of 18 civilians, mostly women and children, in Beit Hanoun on 8 November marked the continuance of violence during the Israeli occupation in Palestine.
Iceland-Palestine would like to see the ambassador returning to Israel with the message: “Iceland will not tolerate visits from Israeli ambassadors until Israel respects international laws and stops committing crimes of war.”
