By Iceland Review

Icelandic computer company Nýherji purchased 77 percent of shares in the information technology company TM Software this week from Straumur, FL Group and Tryggingamidstödin (TM) for ISK 1,300 million (USD 22 million, EUR 15 million).

The purpose of the investment is to strengthen Nýherji’s position in the field of operational services, hosting and the development of special software solutions for companies, as described in a press release.

TM Software is the mother company of Skyggni, Origo, Vigor, eMR and ITP and is the leader in the local market in hosting and software solutions. Many of Iceland’s largest companies are TM Software’s customers.
