Iceland’s prime minister, Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson, will host the Northern Future Forum in Reykjavík this week. The two-day seminar, which kicks off tomorrow, brings together prime ministers and other representatives of the Nordic countries, the Baltic countries and the United Kingdom to discuss future trends in northern Europe including how the creative industry sector can best be supported and ways to innovate in the public sector to improve the quality of public services, as stated in a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office.
In addition to the Prime Ministers and other government representatives, approximately 80 experts from Iceland, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and Britain will participate in the informal discussions and exchange of ideas.
