The Akureyri-based TV station N4 began broadcasting nationally for the first time this week, including a news program from the north Icelandic region, a feature program covering north Icelandic topics, a culture review program and more.
Mondays to Fridays broadcasting begins at 7:15 pm and after scheduled programming, the shows will be replayed every hour until 10 am the following day. The broadcasts can be picked up on digital TV through the Digital Ísland network as well as on channel 15.
During weekends N4 will summarize the highlights of the week. Apart from the regular programs, N4 is also planning on broadcasting shows on snowmobiles, fitness, and live from local high school song contests and the Miss North Iceland beauty pageant.
